The Sheila Wilson Memorial Trophy was presented to Secretary Lynn Hauck at the 2010 Annual General Meeting in June. This is the inaugural presentation of this trophy which has been donated by Foundation member, Pam Board to a Society member who was voted over the twelve month period by all members at the Cultural Meetings as providing "Outstanding Service to the Bribie Island Orchid Society Inc.". Cr Sheila Wilson was the Society's first Patron and a great supporter of the fledgling group when it was formed in 1987. Society Patron Carryn Sullivan MP presented Lynn with the Award at the Annual General Meeting in June and congratulated her on behalf of the members. Along with the perpetual trophy which is held by the Society, the recipient each year is given a miniature to keep. Lynn thanked Carryn for her presentation, the members for their nominations and intends to do all she can to prove worthy of this honour.
